The Advantages of Using Vertical Blinds
Windows are important for both insulation as well as security and an effective covering is some type of vertical blind. This type of blind is easily adjusted so that it can be left partially open, allowing some air and light to enter; when fully closed, it blocks out all light as well as offering total privacy.
It is this ability to offer privacy that is perhaps the major advantage. Wooden vertical blind slats can be easily and instantly adjusted to prevent people either from seeing inside or outside, offering the home or business owner complete privacy when needed.
Vertical blinds are also an effective solution for homes in humid or hot climates, as they adjust to allow air to flow through the window at an angle. When the sun shines full on the window, blinds also have the ability to reflect back most of the heat, thus helping to cool a home. And when completely closed, the trapped air that is between the windowpane and the slats helps to both warm and cool, depending on the season, by creating an effect similar to that of double glazing.
